A 35-year-old Deer Lake man is scheduled to return to court next Tuesday on charges stemming from an incident in the town on the weekend.
Mitchell Renouf is facing charges including assault, uttering threats, and two court order breaches.
Police took Renouf safely into custody Saturday evening after he barricaded himself inside a home on Main Dam Road.
The incident prompted a public advisory for people to stay away from the area.
Renouf was remanded to custody pending his next court appearance.
