St. John’s City Council is asking provincial election candidates to be mindful of the environment when putting up signs.
During yesterday’s meeting, the councillor for Ward 5, Wally Collins, said they’ve noticed signs nailed to trees at Forest Pond in the Goulds.
He urges candidates not to nail campaign signs to trees, as it kills the tree’s bark.
Cllr Collins mentioned that anyone having issues with assessment can contact him directly for assistance.
He was at Forest Pond and reminds people that election signs should not be nailed to trees and have been removed.
And that's it! Another quick meeting! #SJPoli
