Residents of St. John’s are being asked how they “eat the city.”
The survey, conducted by Food First NL, focuses on issues related to food insecurity such as food waste, transportation, and various neighbourhood access issues.
Sarah Crocker, the program coordinator with Food First NL, says their goal is to create an action plan that is representative of the priorities of residents. She says COVID-19 revealed vulnerabilities in the system.
As people complete the survey, community-wide meetings and focus groups will highlight priorities and areas that need immediate action.
The survey is available from now through the end of February.
