A 24-year-old Paradise man has been arrested and charged with dangerous driving following an incident over the lunch hour on Tuesday.
RNC say officers tried to pull over a speeding motorcycle on Sagona Avenue in Mount Pearl around 12:45, but instead of pulling over, the bike sped off, weaving through traffic to avoid police.
A short time later officers noticed the suspect motorcycle parked at a home in Paradise. The driver was arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, and flight from police.
He was also issued a ticket for driving without insurance and the motorcycle was impounded.
The accused was released to appear in court at a later date.
