The number of active COVID cases in the province has dropped to five with one new recovery reported in the Western Health region.
There are no new confirmed cases of the virus in the province.
A test that came back as a presumptive positive case turned out to be a false positive and is now confirmed as negative.
The five active cases include two crew members from ships previously anchored in waters off the northeast Avalon—both of those crew members remain in hospital.
