We’ll find out tomorrow morning what the K-12 school system will look like this year.
Last year saw all three scenarios employed: in-person, hybrid and virtual. But when school began, nobody had been vaccinated. Now, over 60 per cent of the eligible population are fully protected, but nobody under 12 is yet eligible for the COVID shot.
Premier Andrew Furey, Education Minister Tom Osborne and school board directors will unveil the plan from Valmont Academy in King’s Point tomorrow morning starting at 9 a.m.
VOCM will broadcast the news conference live.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Teacher’s Association says not much has changed in the school since the pandemic took hold in this province a year and a half ago. Langdon says they’re always worried with new variants of concern in circulation.
