The provincial government received more than 200 responses to an online questionnaire regarding the legal description of the province’s Coat of Arms.
The province intends to amend the legal description of the Coat of Arms, which dates back more than 300 years, to add the word “Labrador” and to remove the word “savages” in describing the two Beothuk depicted standing on either side of the shield.
A summary report of the input received will be released publicly in the coming weeks.
