Confederation Building will be lit up green tonight to mark National Tree Day.
Tree planting ceremonies are taking place across the province at Teakwood Park in St. John’s, Pasadena Elementary, Pearce Junior High in Burin, and Fortune Bay Academy in St. Bernard’s.
Tree seedlings are available, free of charge to individuals and groups interested in planting a tree on their own property. They can be found at provincial forest management offices throughout the province.
Tree planting is a great way to address climate change! During #NationalForestWeek @FFA_GovNL is helping by providing spruce tree seedlings to everyone free of charge at forestry offices around the province.
