Four people have been arrested, following an ongoing drug-trafficking investigation in the Clarenville region.
RCMP say two homes – one in Clarenville, the other in Shoal Harbour – were searched this week, resulting in the seizure of cocaine, crack cocaine, ecstasy and various opioids.
The four accused were released to appear in court at a later date on charges including possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and production of a controlled substance.
Police warn that many illegal drugs are cut with different substances, including fentanyl.
They say it is important for to plan and prepare for a possible opioid overdose by carrying a Naloxone kit.
