The Association for New Canadians is holding its Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Anti-Racism Summit in St. John’s today.
The event, also known as IDEAS, features panels, speakers, and the presentation of IDEA awards.
Debbie Brown, coordinator of diversity and public outreach with the association, says the panels will discuss how best to incorporate things like inclusion, diversity and anti-racism into people’s everyday lives and workplaces.
They’ll discuss what works and what doesn’t so that attendees will leave with a toolkit of how to implement those ideals in their lives.
The event, which is taking place today at MUN’s Signal Hill Campus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., will be live streamed via the association’s social media.
