A few schools in the western region are closed this morning as communities on the southwest coast deal with the impacts of the torrential rain.
Belanger Memorial School in Doyles, Grandy’s River Collegiate in Burnt Islands, LeGallais Memorial in Isle aux Morts and St. James Regional High in Port aux Basques are closed.
The schools will be providing updates around 10:30 a.m. on whether they will reopen later today.
