The big guy in the Red Suit will spread Christmas joy to thousands in St. John’s this weekend, as the Santa Claus Parade returns after a one-year hiatus.
All is set for 12-noon Sunday and the weather forecast looks promising with sunny skies and temperatures on the plus side.
The floats leave from the Fort William Building and proceed along Duckworth, then dip down to Water Street at Prescott to Waldegrave.
Parade chair Gaelynn Lambert says it will be a great parade but not quite so large as years previous.
The parade will go through quicker because of its smaller size, so anyone who usually waits awhile should probably leave less of a time lapse.
