The St. John’s Junior Hockey League has announced the league will be traveling to Gander in the new year, hosting two games between the Avalon Junior Capitals and the Paradise Junior Warriors at the Steele Community Centre on January 22 and 23, 2022.
The league says travel plans have always been a priority, but COVID-19 halted those plans.
Both teams are excited to bring their brand of hockey to Central Newfoundland, with many current and former team members hailing from the town of Gander.
The SJJHL will be releasing more details as they become available in the coming weeks.
