Rovers Ground Search and Rescue were called out to help an injured hiker on the East Coast Trail Friday night.
Rovers SAR, along with the RNC, were called to the section of the trail between St. Philip’s and Beachy Cover.
The search crew was able to extract the hiker and carry the patient several kilometres along the coast to reach an awaiting Paramedic Unit.
The hiker was transported to hospital.
