The provincial minister of tourism says government is in the process of replacing aging playground equipment in provincial parks.
Minister Steve Crocker was responding to public complaints about the tired look of some playground equipment.
Crocker says government was well aware that the equipment needed to be updated, but supply chain issues impeded plans to upgrade swings, slides and teeter-totters last year.
He says that work is now underway.
The contractor is on-site looking at the logistics of getting the equipment, which arrived late last fall and has been held in storage, into provincial parks.
