Drivers on the Trans Canada Highway in central Newfoundland can expect to encounter a detour in the area of Norris Arm this weekend.
Officials are replacing a culvert in the area, diverting both eastbound and westbound traffic through the town of Norris Arm. Drivers are being asked to reduce their speed and use caution.
The detour will be in place until Sunday afternoon.
The work is being carried out by Municipal Construction Limited, which will replace culverts and repave approximately 11.6 km of highway between the Road to the Isles and Norris Arm. The contract is worth $5.4 million dollars.
