A tattoo convention is taking place next month in St. John’s.

The St. John’s Tattoo Convention will be holding it’s sixth installment at the Remax Centre at the start of July.

Seventy-five artists from all around Canada will be travelling to the capital city, applying over 600 tattoos to those who attend.

Owner of Trouble Bound Studios, who are hosting the event, Dave Munro says the initial challenge was to ensure they had enough people wanting to get tattooed.

He says in the first year he needed to make sure they had enough of a base to support the amount of artists coming in, as many expressed their desire to in his travels. He says considering they’re in the sixth year of the convention, it’s clear that interest is there.

The convention runs from July 1-3. Tickets are available online.
