The U-15 NL Selects female softball team won the Maritime Provincial All-star Fastpitch Tournament in Moncton on the weekend.
They went 4-1 and defeated PEI 4-1 in 7 innings in the championship game.
The team, coached by Craig “Turks” Power of Outer Cove, has players from Clarenville, Carbonear, Outer Cove, the Southern Shore and CB Centre.
It was the first female provincial all-star win for an NL team since 1984.
