The NLC is seeing continued double-digit growth in the legal cannabis market.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Commission is reporting cannabis sales through its licensed retailers of $15.2 million in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year ending April of 2022.
That’s an 8.5 per cent increase over the same period the previous year.

Total retail cannabis sales for the 2022 fiscal year increased by 17.2 per cent over the previous year to $61 million.
CEO Bruce Keating calls sales encouraging.
Because, he says, the overriding policy objective is to reduce the black market and provide customers with safe, secure access to cannabis.
