A 59-year-old man faces a number of criminal charges after allegedly blocking a construction crew in Spaniard’s Bay earlier this week.
Police received a complaint over the lunch hour on Monday that a man was reportedly obstructing construction crews who were completing work along the road in a residential area.
Officers arrived to find homemade barriers on the roadway and the man who erected them refusing to take them down.
Police say the man became irate, yelling obscenities at one of the officers who he allegedly assaulted.
The man is facing charges of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and causing a disturbance.
