The provincial government is expected to announce the details of its bivalent vaccine plan in the coming days.
Earlier this month the federal government approved Moderna’s new vaccine that offers protection from COVID-19 and the Omicron variant.
Ottawa announced that it has already purchased 12-million doses of the new vaccine for distribution this fall.
Provincial health officials say their finalizing the details and will be making an announcement in the not-too-distant future.
