The Tourism Coordinator for the city of Corner Brook says efforts to collaborate with surrounding communities on tourism opportunities to benefit the entire region are going well.
The city yesterday officially launched its ten-day Jigs & Wheels festival line-up set for July 28 through to August 6.
Included in this year’s series of events highlighting ATV and off-road tourism potential, are activities beyond the city itself—taking in both sides of the Bay of Islands.

Glenda Simms says they’ve been collaborating with surrounding communities on a tourism strategy and they’re working on a number of other events that are yet to be added to the festival schedule.
She says collaboration is the best mindset when it comes to tourism and creating experiences that invite and entice people to travel to a destination—so expect to see events in Steady Brook, Massey Drive and both the north and south shores of the Bay of Islands.
