Registered nurses are upset with the health authority for failing to implement the terms of their collective agreement – specifically a delay in benefits from an announced Long Service Premium.
The RNU says the delay in implementing the premium within already committed timelines affects members who have been waiting in good faith for the recognition and benefits “they rightfully deserve.”
Benefits through the Long Service Premium were supposed to be retroactive to August 4th 2023, but the union says its members will not receive the promised payments in the current pay period.
The Registered Nurses Union calls that delay “unacceptable and deeply frustrating” noting a “lack of communication and transparency from” the NLHS’s Human Resources department.
