Two men are accused of abducting and beating up another man in Carbonear last weekend.
Thirty-three-year-old James Snow of Goose Cove and 22-year-old Brady Parsons of Upper Island Cove were arrested last Sunday following the incident the night before.
RCMP say it began shortly before midnight Saturday when two suspects forced a man in his 20s from a house in Carbonear.
They say he was taken to another location in the town where he was assaulted and threatened, but eventually managed to escape and call police. The suspects, meanwhile, left the scene in a black GMC pickup.
Mounties from several detachments, along with the K9 unit, found and searched the truck early Sunday, and arrested Snow and Parsons a short time later.
They have been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, uttering threats, and failing to comply with court orders.
Snow, who also faces firearm charges, was released and is due back in court on July 10, while Parsons remains in custody pending a bail hearing today.
Police do say the suspects and victim know each other.
