The provincial government will not be raising the provincial tax on gas and diesel in the coming year.
The province cut its portion of the tax on oil and gas in half in 2022, and has maintained the rate at 8.05 cents a litre since that time.
The province is also extending a 50 per cent cut in the cost of registering passenger vehicles to the coming year and is continuing with its home heating supplement program for those who heat their homes with oil.
