The Eastern Regional Services Board says vandalism at the Harbour Grace Waste Recovery Facility is posing serious risk to the safe and efficient operation of the site and the safety of people dropping off garbage.
The latest act of vandalism occurred sometime between 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26 and 8:30 Monday morning.
ERSB says the culprits used ropes tied to two heavy concrete barriers and dragged a truck-bed camper off their vehicle.

The weight and force of the movement caused the barrier to shift out of place.
Newly installed surveillance cameras were torn down and smashed in the process, and their SD cards were stolen. A number of on-site signs were also destroyed.
ERSB says the facility has been repeatedly targeted by vandals in recent years resulting in temporary closures and costly repairs.
Illegal dumping outside the main gate after hours is also an ongoing issue.
