The RNC has released more information on a charge laid under the province’s Forestry Act against a young ATV operator.
The Constabulary says the 16-year-old, who was driving an ATV in a wooded area near Meetinghouse Road in Pouch Cove yesterday evening was charged.
The province has imposed a temporary ban on the operation of ATVs and other off-road vehicles in wooded areas in high or extreme fire risk zones. The ban will be reassessed after Sunday.
RNC say the teen was also ticketed for driving an off-road vehicle without insurance and the ATV was seized.
