The CEO of Energy NL says she understands the provincial government’s desire to ensure that Newfoundland and Labrador see the greatest benefits from an MOU with Quebec on the Upper Churchill, but she wants to see the review process completed as quickly as possible.
Charlene Johnson previously served as a cabinet minister in Danny Williams’ former PC government.
She says time is of the essence.
She says their member companies are preparing for the work scopes on the project, and they’ve already had sessions with NL Hydro and Hydro Quebec on the procurement process and planning for more detailed supplier development sessions.
