Team Canada Defeats Finland, Sets Sights on Slovakia

Canada will play Slovakia in the quarter-finals at the World Junior Hockey Championship in Minnesota Friday night.

Canada defeated Finland 7-4 on the strength of two goals in the third period, including the empty-netter.

The three other playoff games are also scheduled for Friday but Canada’s game will be the final one of the night.
