A New Brunswick man has been charged after the stolen vehicle he was driving was pulled over near Flat Bay on the province’s west coast.
The speeding vehicle caught the attention of Bay St. George RCMP on the Trans Canada around 11:00 p.m. last Friday and it was pulled over.
A quick check showed that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Saint John, New Brunswick, and officers noted the smell of cannabis.
The 30-year-old driver was arrested without incident and charged with possession of stolen property.
A blood sample was taken to determine whether a charge of driving under the influence is appropriate.
He’s scheduled to appear in court in September.
