The third suspect in the killing of a St. John’s man a few days before Christmas remains too incapacitated to answer to the charges.
Forty-seven-year-old Doug Yetman has been sedated in hospital, reportedly with self-inflicted injuries, since his arrest for first-degree murder on the night of December 21st.
Court was told no one has been able to speak with him since then. Nor has a judge been able to formally read the charges to him, which is supposed to happen within 24 hours after an arrest.
Forty-two-year Darryl Little and 28-year-old Peter Campbell are also charged with the murder of a 41-year-old man in a house on Empire Avenue.
They remain in custody with court dates on January 14th.
Yetman’s case will be called again Friday morning for an update on his condition.
