The premier says initial conversations with Prime Minister Mark Carney have gone well.
Wakeham travelled to Ottawa to meet with Carney at the end of November, and he was satisfied with how things transpired.
The premier says he has positioned this province as one with a lot to offer Canada – particularly in terms of resource development and defence. Wakeham states that the PM was “very receptive” to what he had to say.
