U.S. President Donald Trump says another mission against Venezuela is unlikely.
About 150 planes were involved in last night’s attack on Caracas to capture President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, who will be flown to New York to face drug and other charges.
Trump says the mission was so successful that a second wave will probably not be necessary.
Operation Absolute Resolve was launched at about midnight NST after months of planning and documenting President Maduro’s every move.
Trump says Maduro emptied jails, prisons, mental institutions and insane asylums and sent their worst to the United States to rape and kill.
The U-S President says Venezuelans will be rich, and those living in the U.S. are now safe.
He says the mission should serve as a warning to anyone who would threaten American sovereignty or threaten American lives. The oil embargo remains in effect and the armada remains in place off Venezuela.
