No date has yet been set for residents of Victoria to vote in a new town council.
The mayor and all of the town’s councillors were dismissed by the provincial government last month after it was determined that council was unable to function effectively.
Volunteers and town staff are working with the government-appointed administrator in providing essential services like garbage collection, and fire protection.
The department has yet to determine when a special election will be held to fill the town’s vacant council seats.
