Bay St. George RCMP arrested two people for impaired driving after two separate crashes in Stephenville Monday night.

The first incident happened in a gas station parking lot just after 8:30 p.m., where a witness told police the man did not look sober. He also did not provide all of his information after the accident.

Police tracked down the 21-year-old and found he was nearly twice the legal limit.

Then, not two hours later, another suspected drunk driver hit a car in a private parking lot on Massachusetts Drive. He, too, did not provide any information to the other driver.

He also blew nearly twice the limit.

Both men were arrested, their licenses suspended, and the vehicles impounded.
