Long-time Toronto Blue Jay Bo Bichette is reportedly leaving the team to join the New York Mets.
Bichette, who struggled with injuries in the Blue Jays’ lead-up to the World Series, is reportedly signing with the Mets for $126 million over three years with no deferrals.
Bichette played seven seasons with the Blue Jays, hitting .294 with 111 home runs and 437 runs batted-in in about 750 games.
He signalled his desire to stay with the Jays after the World Series final loss to LA, but was unable to reach a deal with Toronto.
