A 27-year-old man has been arrested after trying to run from police yesterday afternoon.
Police tried to pull over the vehicle on University Avenue just before 3:00 p.m., but instead of stopping, the driver hit the gas.
When RNC caught up with the man on Stamps Lane, he’d already hit several vehicles and tried to take off on foot.
Officers later arrested the man after a struggle. He’s now facing charges of trafficking a controlled substance, flight from police, dangerous operation, failure to stop at an accident scene and resisting arrest.
He was held for court.
