Waterford Valley High School is joining with the Mary Brown’s Centre and the EF Tours Canada High School Hockey League in a fundraiser for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank.
The Hockey Hits Hunger event will feature a full day of high school hockey at the Mary Brown’s Centre tomorrow. Spectators are being encouraged to bring along non-perishable food items and cash donations in support of the food bank.
Waterford Valley Outreach Team Lead, student William Woodford, says the event is a student-led initiative and they’re encouraging everyone to come out and support the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank.
