Another blast of winter is creating poor driving conditions in western Newfoundland.
The RNC were on the Trans Canada Highway with other emergency responders working to clear the roadway after a number of tractor trailers became stuck between the Riverside Drive and Murphy’s Square exits in Corner Brook due to slippery roads and whiteout conditions.
Traffic traffic is now moving again.
Police urge everyone considering venturing out not to do so unless necessary, and to allow extra time if you do decide to hit the road.
Meanwhile, Bay St. George RCMP say traffic is moving freely in both directions on the TCH at Barachois Pond Park after an accident last night.
Because of the blustery weather, Stephenville provincial court will remain closed for the day. All matters scheduled for today will be called tomorrow at the same time.
