A 19-year-old man is facing charges of uttering threats and possession of a weapon after a snowmobile reportedly chased a car in St. Anthony.
RCMP were contacted at 1:00 a.m. last Thursday from a driver who claimed they were being followed by a snowmobiler, who appeared to be drunk, and who was threatening the occupants of the car.
The driver was able to provide a name and description to police who located the suspect at his home a short time later.
Police seized a knife found on the suspect.
A breath sample was below the legal limit, but in violation of the snowmobiler’s driver’s licence, so his licence was suspended.
He’s now facing four counts of uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
