A man who was acquitted of second-degree murder back in 2014, and who has a long history of weapons-related offences, is scheduled to appear in court on May 27 on dozens of new charges.
Thirty-six-year-old Lyndon Butler, who was previously acquitted in connection with the 2011 shooting death of Nick Winsor, is facing numerous charges following an assault in Paradise on the weekend.
Police located two handguns – one of which was loaded – numerous magazines and ammunition, a 12-gauge shotgun with ammunition and numerous other rounds of ammunition during their investigation.
Butler is already prohibited from possessing weapons and is now facing charges including assault, choking, pointing a firearm, and dozens of other weapons-related offences.
