All seven crewmembers are safe and there are no injuries reported after the scallop fishing vessel Eastern Raeya ran aground off the tip of the Burin Peninsula.
The vessel, out of Port de Grave, became stuck when it entered shallow water at low tide.
The Canadian Coast Guard Ship Barrington Bay was sent to assist and the vessel has successfully been refloated.
Critical system checks are currently underway, and the vessel will eventually make its way into Fortune.

The Canadian Coast Guard has confirmed that it is responding to a vessel that has run aground in the area of Fortune, on the Burin Peninsula.
The Fortune Harbour Authority says the vessel in question is the 63 foot Eastern Raeya out of Port de Grave and was in the area fishing scallop.
No injuries have been reported and a Coast Guard cutter is en route to provide assistance.
