The Department of Health has instructed NL Health Services to conduct an investigation into an unusual incident at the Janeway Children’s Hospital.

Three men entered the hospital, took a number of items and caused damage in a room next to the ICU where families stay.

The department says everyone who seeks care, visits loved ones, or works at a health care facility deserves to feel safe.

NLHS says it is committed to strengthening workplace safety and implementing ways to improve security at the province’s health care facilities.
