The provincial government is setting up a new child care advisory panel that it says will help improve the system.
Three months ago, a number of early childhood educators took to the steps of Confederation Building demanding action on issues such as pay, sick leave, and pensions.
At the time, minister Paul Dinn set up a steering committee to look at a number of issues in the sector, and indicated that change would happen.
Now, government is setting up a 12-member panel that will help identify challenges and provide recommendations.
The panel, which will be made up of people from all areas of the province, will include administrators and licensees, Indigenous members, and Francophone members.
The panel will operate in addition to the steering committee.
The application deadline is July 3rd.
