It’s construction season, and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is reminding drivers to slow down when travelling through construction zones.
Several people were ticketed recently for speeding and passing in a construction zone on the TCH between Corner Brook and the Humber Valley Resort.
Police say construction zones are workplaces for all those on site and drivers need to adjust speeds accordingly.
Fines, which are doubled in such areas, can range from $130 to nearly $1,200.
