The Veteran’s Memorial Highway (route 75) is now fully open after a vehicle fire closed both directions north of Tilton earlier this afternoon.
RCMP thank the public for their cooperation during the closure.

RCMP in Bay Roberts have closed down the Veteran’s Memorial Highway (Route 75) – north of Tilton – in both directions due to vehicle fire. The road has been closed down in order to let emergency personnel handle the situation.
Detours are available through Route 70. People are cautioned against approaching the area unless absolutely necessary, and in such a case, can expect delays.
