The Lady Cove Women’s Choir has claimed top honours at the Llangollen International Musical Festival in Wales.

The St. John’s choir won first place in the Adult Folk Song Choir competition with a performance of Atlantic Blue, written by Newfoundland and Labrador singer-songwriter Ron Hynes.

The Philippines’ Advent Euphonic Chorale finished second, while Chantage of England placed third.

The Llangollen International Musical Festival is one of the world’s premier international choral and music festivals, attracting performers from around the globe.
