The family of a St. John’s man who went missing following a hiking trip in BC is remaining hopeful he will be found safe and sound.
Jordan Naterer went for a solo hike over the Thanksgiving weekend but never returned. It was initially unknown where he went hiking, but it was later determined that he had been in Manning Park.
Julia Naterer is the hiker’s sister and refers to her brother as her “best friend.”
She and some of Jordan’s friends have been receiving pictures from other hikers who were in the area over the weekend, and have been putting the images together in Google Drive to piece together a timeline of what the weather and conditions were like in the park at the time.
Naterer says her family gained hope after receiving a tip from another hiker who said they saw Jordan in the park around 2 p.m. on Saturday.
She says if any member of her family could survive being lost in the wilderness, it would be her brother. Naterer calls him really resourceful and quick-thinking, making them confident that he is okay.
