A 76-year-old woman is facing impaired driving charges following a collision in St. John’s early this morning.

Around midnight, police received reports that a vehicle had struck a parked car in the east end of the city.

As a result, the woman was charged with impaired and her vehicle was impounded.

She was released to appear in court at a later date.
