Premier Andrew Furey has been the MHA-Elect for Humber-Gros Morne for a little less than two weeks now, but there is still no fixed date for him to be sworn in for the position.
Furey won the seat in a landslide on October 6, taking over from outgoing MHA Dwight Ball, who resigned from the position so Furey could run.
The earliest the swearing-in ceremony can take place is this coming Thursday, but an official date has not yet been hammered down.
Furey cannot officially sit in the legislature until he is sworn in. Deputy Premier Siobhan Coady has been serving in his place in the interim.
